What I've been up to lately

Let me see if I can remember what I've been doing lately. Well I'm about to make my own blush from beets. I painted the chandelier in our dining room white. Revamping it for only $3. I just received my new mineral, all natural make up in the mail. Which I plan on reviewing soon. I do have to say that I found my new favorite lipstick (in natural nymph). I have super pink lips to begin with and have always wanted a cute nude lipstick. I really love that their prices are affordable and the mineral line is 100% mineral based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes. And I just finished making my own liquid dish soap.

Since I have switched almost all my products over to all natural and chemical free my skin has felt wonderful and I just feel better myself.

I can't really even tell you how this decision came about. I do know that I live with pcos and have always wanted to stay away from anything that had extra hormones in it. I was inspired by a lovely friend of mine who helps me find info and wonderful products, to switch my way of living. I started with making my own laundry soap and it just blew up from there. I will list the products I use at the end of this for those interested. I am also a huge lover of coconut oil which I will post wonderful links from time to time on that stuff. I have researched what certain chemicals in make up and other body products have been known to cause or have been linked to certain health problems and decided to switch that stuff over as well. Why not? What gets slathered on my skin will most likely be absorbed into my body and I just didn't think that was right. I make my own deodorant because breast cancer runs in my family and I'm not the luckiest person in the world, so I don't gamble when it comes to health problems. I feel cursed, if something can go wrong with me it feels like it most likely will. I don't take chances.

I have gotten my husband to use all natural or vegan beauty/body products. He tells me how much he loves some of the stuff. And fully embraces my new way of wanting to live. I use cloth pads (yes, sanitary napkins for money saving and because of the chemicals etc in disposable pads) and I've been looking into getting or making re-usable towels that clip together so they can be wound around a paper towel holder. I use eco-shopping bags and reuse anything I possibly can, if not it's recycled. I've signed up for eco-emi, a monthly box of samples that gets sent to me of organic and all natural products. Which I will start to make videos of and reviews for items included in the boxes. Its a inexpensive way to test out so many awesome products.

I'm excited to have a place to share my finds with you all. I hope you all enjoy this. I'm constantly learning about this stuff and in no way perfect so please feel free to share your info as well.

Products I use:
Hair products~Tigi Love, Peace and the Planet

Soap/and other beauty products: Lush products and Haus of Gloi (for lotions and perfumes as well) HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Haus of Gloi. They have the most unique scents available and I just love them!!

I make my own laundry soap and now make my own dish soap as well as my own deodorant.

Toothpaste: burt's bees or Tom's all natural no fluoride.

Mineral makeup that I just got but haven't used yet is from E.L.F (eyes lips face)
I also use Lush's Jackie Oats foundation. Love that stuff!

I use coconut oil as a moisturizer and makeup remover as well as ingesting it for all of its health benefits. I am in love with O.N.E coconut water but only in pink guava. Mango is ok but not my fav and I can't wait to get my hands on the pineapple flavor.

I make all my cleaners as well.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of stuff but I'll add it as I remember. If you want you can follow me on pinterest to check out all other DIY stuff   http://pinterest.com/sabrinab84/
